Dataset description

These authority records establish in a standardised manner the heading used in bibliographic records as access points, associated with a gender or form and in accordance with the regulations of the specific IFLA Working Groups. The terms of gender/form serve to describe what a publication is like, but not in relation to its thematic content, but by being framed in a genre (literary, artistic...) or by formal characteristics or physical peculiarities that distinguish the different types of document. This controlled vocabulary, in the form of a thesaurus, is specific to Drawings and Engravings. On the one hand they present the data in original format (MARC and MARC-XML), and on the other hand the data mapped in CSV, JSON, ODS, TXT and XML formats. To publish these datasets a mapping of the records of our catalog, encoded in origin in MARC format has been carried out. For each record type, a series of MARC fields and subfields have been set to retrieve and display, and a literal has been defined to describe the data being displayed. The [mapping information](https://datahub.ckan.io/dataset/faec428b-d76f-464e-bdad-b528a39c4f36/resource/3d7f837f-737a-4acd-9970-55d03023b611/download/infomapeo_genero_forma.pdf) is available in pdf. In addition, this vocabulary is also published in SKOS (Simple Knowledge Organisation System) format. SKOS is a recommendation to describe thesaurus of the W3C consortium. This standard in turn relies on the RDF standard to describe resources and model information. It therefore follows the RDF model that is based on XML. How to cite the set: Title of the data set.
