Living Debt of Local Entities

Data on the outstanding debt of each local entity in accordance with the Excessive Deficit Protocol (EDP), as at 31 December of the preceding immediate year, expressed in aggregate terms and in thousands of euros. The data are obtained from the information of the Bank of Spain’s Risk Information Centre (CIRBE) regarding the local subsector, and the Inventory of Local Public Sector Entities, taking into account the following adjustments and considerations: The information provided by CIRBE includes debts to credit institutions obliged to report to that Risk Information Centre. CIRBE includes the amounts corresponding to public debt issues. In order to assess the amount of the debt, the following risk operations are considered: financial credits, fixed income securities, loans or credits transferred to third parties, factoring without recourse, Fund of Financing Payment to Suppliers by loan operations concluded by Local Entities and Public Private Partnerships (PPAs).
