Production of cow’s milk in the Basque Country by consumption destination according to historical territory (thousands of liters).

The main objective of this operation is to provide information on livestock and aquaculture productions. In particular on the slaughter of livestock and the destination of meat (direct consumption or industrial consumption), in addition to the geographical origin of cattle in all slaughterhouses in operation of the Basque Country. Information is also collected on other livestock productions (wool, honey, wax, eggs and manure) and on livestock according to age and fitness (bovids, equidae, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, avian herds and hives), dairy production and first destination of milk, hatcheries and transactions of livestock and destination. The geographical destination of the livestock and the purpose for which they are sold shall be specified, whether it is for slaughter or for life or fattening during the reference year. As far as aquaculture is concerned, it seeks to collect and at the same time provide economic and productive information on the fish sector of the Basque Country. This last statistical operation serves in turn to carry out the Directory of Aquaculture Centers of the Basque Country.
