Dataset description

List of Spanish authors whose works are in the National Library of Spain and have recently passed into the public domain, so they can be edited, reproduced or disseminated publicly. Specifically, the authors who died between 1900 and 1942 are listed, according to the information contained in the catalogues of the BNE. In a different specific set you can find the authors whose work went into the public domain in 2023 (authors who died in 1942): https://datos.gob.es/es/catalogo/ea0019768-autores-espanoles-en-dominio-publico-en-2023-fallecidos-en-1942 * XLS distribution includes: date of death, name and links to the author and his works in the bibliographic catalogue, the Hispanic Digital Library and the linked data portal of the BNE. * Distributions in JSON, ODS, TXT, XML, and CSV include all data from the authority records for each person according to [authorities mapping](http://www.bne.es/media/datosgob/catalogo-autoridades/Mapeo_Autoridades_Publicar.xlsx).
