Survey for the calculation of the Active Aging Index of the City of Madrid. OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY: Know the result of certain indicators that allow the Active Aging Index to be calculated. The Active Aging Index is a country-to-country measurement tool about the potential of older people to have active and healthy ageing. The index measures the independent living standards of older people, their participation in paid work and social activities, as well as their ability to age actively. It is part of the evaluation of the Madrid Plan Friendly to the Elderly, as an indicator of impact. It consists of 22 indicators that are grouped into four dimensions: employment, social participation, independent and safe living, and capacity for healthy ageing.
