Dataset description

The Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia and the General Directorate of Local Administration work on the geometric improvement of the historical boundary lines in order to obtain a more precise line equipped with precise coordinates. The information shown is that collected in the Territorial Delimitations Project that allows to consult the geometry of the boundary lines, their legal status (definitive, provisional or partially definitive), the legal documents that support it and whether the line has been studied from the topographic point of view to improve its geometry. The Topographic Notebooks prepared by the Topographers Brigades of the Geographical Institute at the end of the 19th century are also provided. Of those lines that have been reframed are also shown the pillars from which precise coordinates have been obtained.
