Bridge and tunnel data — road

The data product consists of Bro and Tunnel type phenomena included in the National Road Database (NVDB) and includes data on crossings, underways and tunnels on road sections. Data can be found, inter alia, at bridges, level separation crossings, road gates and tunnels. The purpose of this data product is to show where there are structures allowing traffic over or under water courses, valleys, roads, buildings, railways, walking and cycling routes or through mountains or soil. The data product consists of Bro and Tunnel type phenomena belonging to the NVDB product group as well as the road engineering phenomenon types in NVDB. The data product consists of phenomena of distribution associated with the road network. The data product contains information on crossings, underpasses and tunnels allowing traffic. These include bridges, level separation crossings, road doors and tunnels. Only for “crossing”, “tunnel” and “underrun” designs are given the length. for the type “crossing and underspeed”, the length of the crossing is specified. The length of the structure is usually measured on the road line. Depending on the type of design, the length is measured differently.
