Cycle road network with basic parameters

The data product bicycle road network with basic parameters, belonging to the product group; Processed road data products, contain a number of basic data on the cycle road network derived from a variety of cycle road phenomena. Note the difference between cycling and cycling networks! By bicycle road network we refer to the road network where cycling is permitted, i.e. even on most of the road network, while the bicycle network is the network where cycling is allowed only and most often also. Bicycle road networks with basic parameters contain, to a large extent, characteristics on the bicycle network, but also on the parts of the car network identified as ‘Recommended motorway for cycling traffic’. The data product bicycle road network with basic parameters contains a number of basic data on the cycle road network derived from a variety of cycle road phenomena, see section 1.4. The data product is mainly linked to the cycle network, i.e. those road sections where road traffic networks are designated as ‘cycle networks’, see reference # 5. Deviations from the bicycle network are the sections classified as the recommended route for cycling traffic on the car network where the data product is also represented. This data product makes it possible to easily and simultaneously access several basic characteristics of the cycle road network without having to go to multiple sources of basic data.
