Dataset description

SMHI’s forecasting and warning service provides information for the protection of life and property. The work is carried out around the clock and SMHI is constantly prepared for emergency response. SMHI issues warnings when the weather is expected to cause consequences or disturbances in society. There are three alert levels: yellow warning, orange warning and red warning. Red warning is the most serious level. The level of warning tells us how serious consequences are expected. SMHI also issues a message on fire risk, water scarcity risk and high temperatures. In case of major update that would not be compatible with previous version of API, we keep for 30 days both versions so you will have enough time to transfer to new version. We will inform you about the changes in advance by e-mail.
