Master Plan 2020 — Long-term development strategy

The Planning and Building Act (PBL) regulates how Swedish municipalities should work with spatial planning. According to Chapter 3, Section 1 of the PBL, each municipality must have an up-to-date master plan covering the entire municipality. The master plan is a comprehensive and strategic document that should describe the municipality’s long-term development, i.e. how the municipality wants to use, develop and preserve the physical environment. The master plan is not binding but is an important basis for creating good and sustainable social development. The master plan for the municipality of Lomma contains two land use maps. One is called the plan map 2030 and shows what is meant to be implemented by 2030. The second map is called Long-Term Development Strategy. The long-term development strategy shows schematically the development that Lomma Municipality wants in the long term, i.e. after 2030, for buildings, infrastructure and natural values. The map data is designed to be used in scales between 1:60 000 and 1:15 000.
