Dataset description

A coherent law has been designed to account for several types of borders. A so-called “contiguous zone” is established, extending up to 24 nautical miles from the baselines and extending along those distances where the maritime boundary of the sea does not extend to the line agreed with neighbouring countries. An enclave area is created between Gotland and the mainland which is not part of the contiguous zone. The following attributes can be found in point shape file: Section — Contiguous zone is reported with the following sections: West Coast, Baltic Sea, Mellan Gotland and mainland, Bothnian Sea, Bothnian Bay. Röpnr_One — Number of points (AZ) of the respective sub-route. Löpnr_AZ — Order number of significant points on the outer boundary line of the adjacent zone. Latitude & Longitud — All points along the boundary are described by geographical coordinates in latitude and longitude expressed in the SWEREF 99 reference system in degrees and decimal minutes as defined by law and in decimal degrees. Punch type — The following points are present: • cut-off point on the boundary lines of the adjacent zone (AZ); • segmented point on a straight geodetic line between two cut-off points (MP); • segmented point of a circle arc between two cut-off points (MC). Source — Act (2017: 1272) on Swedish maritime territory and maritime zones. Unique ID — A unique ID added by the Swedish Maritime Administration. The following attributes exist in the line shape file: Section — Contiguous zone is reported with the following sections: West Coast, Baltic Sea, Bothnian Sea, Bothnian Bay. Source — Act (2017: 1272) on Swedish maritime territory and maritime zones.
