Dataset description

The map describes the annual potential evaporation average of 1961-1978. An important measure of the water-absorbing capacity of the air is the potential (possible) evaporation. It is defined as the evaporation from a grassy area which does not suffer from a lack of water in the root zone and where there is no heat storage in the soil. The map is published in the Swedish National Atlas Climate, Lakes and Watercourses
