Visningstjänsten visar datamängden Förutsättningar för skred i finkornig jordart och ger översiktlig information om förutsättningar för jordskred i finjord. Informationen är tänkt att användas i tidigt planeringsskede för att identifiera områden där skredfara kan förekomma och där ytterligare bedömningar/undersökningar kan behöva göras. Informationen bygger på en beräkningsalgoritm som utifrån jordartstyp (enligt SGUs produkt Jordarter 1:25 000 - 1:100 000), terrängmodell (Lantmäteriets nationella höjdmodell) och kritisk lutning (1:10) definierar markområden med finkornig jordart som har förutsättningar för jordskred.
