Geophysical soil measurements, exploration areas (view service)

This service contains information about survey areas explored for prospecting purposes with different types of geophysical instruments. The database contains information about both analogue and digital data at SGU. Beside the geographical definitions, the metabase contains the following information: The name of the exploration area, the total amount of measuring points in the area, exploration method, year of the survey, name of the datafile, report number (if available) and comments. The measurements have been made with following methods: * magnetometer * electrical depth sounding * gravimeter * sling frame 18 kHz, slingram 3.6 kHz * induced polarisation sounding using a modified Schlumberge configuration (2-electrode RP, IP, SP) * induced polarisation sounding with Wenner configuration (4-electrode RP, IP, SP) * VLF measurements with GRB in England as transmitter and VLF measurements with JXZ in Norway as transmitter.
