Dataset description

The physical platform is a construction work used for boarding and boarding passengers (travel replacement). For the data product Platform, height and length are the main attributes. The height should only be able to adopt certain standardised values while the length of the platform should be able to vary widely. Normally, existing platforms have any of the heights low, between or high. For newly built platforms, the default values are high or TSI between. TSI stands for Technical Specification for Interoperability. New platforms are not being built as low. The length determines how long trains can be served at the platform and is an important task for train operators. The width of the platform shall be described as average width because not all platforms have the same width over the entire length of the platform. Average width is essential information for procurement of, for example, snow removal. The standard of the platform in the form of the material on the edge of the platform (concrete, steel, etc.) and coating (asphalt, tiles, gravel, etc.) and weather protection shall be described by additional attributes. Radius < 500 m attribute indicates whether the curve radius of the track along the platform has a radius of less than or equal to 500 metres. The data product has stretch distribution and connects to the network with reference to the nearest previous node and nearest previous kilometre board with distance in metres to both the starting and end positions of the route in the direction of the track link and indicating the side position of the object in relation to the direction of the track link (right or left). Platform may appear on more track links.
