Dataset description

The data product consists of three types of places that are important for rail traffic: • Stop- location on the line, intended for boarding and boarding, but without there being any gear or moving bridge in the main track • Stop point — location with a special name within an operation site intended for boarding. • Other location — a place that is not a traffic point by definition but where there is a need to name the place. Other traffic points, operating points with operating area parts and line location are included in their own data product; Place/place in the middle. Name and signature (an abbreviation of name) are two important attributes to the data product. When new traffic points are built, names and abbreviations are determined by the Swedish Transport Agency before entering the data product. This also applies if the name or abbreviation changes at an existing traffic location. The operating area and the rest are former or potential traffic points and, like the stop point, have established names and abbreviations. In combination with good safety communication, a unique name for each traffic site ensures that no misunderstandings arise between traffic management and staff working in the track environment. The data product has coordinates in SWEREF 99 TM and has some traffic-related data as if boarding is possible. The data product has a point spread and connects to the network with reference to the nearest previous node and nearest previous kilometre board with distance in meters in the direction of the track link. Stop/stop/other location can be found on more track links.
