Dataset description

The data product represents the physical switches in the network which are devices enabling a track vehicle to be driven from one track to another. There are a number of main types of switches and crossings that are represented in the data product. It is single gear (EV), single gear with movable junction tip (EKR), single crossing gear (EKV), double crossing gear (DKV) and three-way gear (3V). An overview of these track types is given here: Single gear (possible) — a track gear that has an outlying track. Simple gear with movable junction tip (evr) — a track gear that has an aberrant track and a reversible intersection tip. Single crossing gear (equivalent) — two intersection tracks where two paths of movement are connected to each other. Double crossing gear (DKV) — two intersection tracks where all four routes of movement are connected to each other. Three-way gear (3v) — a track gear that has two different tracks. The track derailleur is composed of two single gears represented by two nodes. The data product is an object type, but the switches are also nodes in the track network, where the track links have their starting and end points. The product contains information in the form of attributes and components. It is information about the type of track switch, the characteristics of the track switch, who is the owner, the identity and the year of installation in the track. Some of the attributes contained in the product are also attached to the node and are transferred to track switches with automatic processes. The following attributes are mandatory for track switches: • Switches (data is automatically transmitted from node) Change type (data is automatically transmitted from node) • BISref node type (data is automatically transmitted from node) • Heavy length (data is automatically transferred from node) • V/H gear • LÖradie — switches and switches on LÖ @-@ road • Smoking type (Arrow) • Type of connection gear The Gear type attribute has values that are composed of four parts according to examples EV-UIC60-770-1:15 and EV-SJ50-11-1:9. Initially, the main gear type is represented by two to three characters, e.g. EV, EVR and DKV. Then follows data representing the profile type of rail and weight per metre of rail, e.g. UIC60 and SJ50. As part three follows, for older switches, the heavy length(m), e.g. 11 and for newer switches, radius (m) for branch tracks, e.g. 760. Finally, the last part consists of a value at the angle of the track to the connecting track, e.g. 1:9 and 1:15. The angle is based on the mathematical intersection point and is measured between the keys of the respective track.
