Dataset description

The first Geneva Convention “for the Amelioration of the Condition of the Wounded in Armies in the Field”, was signed 150 years ago, on 22 August 1864. The original document from 1864 as well as the Conventions signed in 1949 and still in force today, together with further documentation on the subject, have been digitised by the Federal Archives.
