Dataset description

A precise representation of the terrain is essential for many land management applications. Numerical field (MNT) and surface (MNS) models are simplified representations of soil altimetry. The MNT is a representation of the altitude of the “naked terrain” without infrastructure, while the MNS is an altitude model comprising buildings and trees. This data was acquired by laser scanning. The characteristics of the basic data (raw points) of these models are as follows: Mean density MNS: 1.3 pts/m² for MNT gross points: 1 pt/m² for raw points Precision z 20 cm approx x,y 30-40 cm The products are as follows: MNT: raw pts, regular grid at 1 m 2 m and 5 m, slope and curve level, shade MNS: raw pts, regular grid at 1 m 2 m and 5 m, shade MNH: regular grid at 1 m 2 m
