Dataset description

The data shows how much they have contributed to the production of heat and electricity in megawatt-hours (MWh) since 2010. The data comes from the Solar Energy market survey by the Federal Office for Energy (BFE), for biomass (including wood) by UMWEKO GmbH, for wastewater from the electricity plants of the Canton of Zurich (EKZ) as well as from the Electricity Plant of the City of Zurich (EWZ), for Kehricht, for water and for air from the Office for Waste, Water, Energy and Air (AWEL) of the Canton of Zurich. Notes: Biomass data on the production of heat will not be available until 2015. For the production of electricity by means of geothermal energy (deep drilling) and wind power, there are currently no or very low values in the Canton of Zurich; both energy sources are included as electricity sources in the data up to 2020 with the value ‘0’.
