Dataset description

__Terrain (DTM) & Surface (DSM) elevation models__ covering Belfast City, surveyed in March 2006, derived from airborne LIDAR survey systems. Data is provided in ESRI GRID ASCII format. The copyright holder, Cyient Europe Ltd, have kindly given permission for the Department of Infrastructure to publish this dataset as open data. By downloading this dataset you agree to abide by the Open Government Licence. When publishing work derived from this data the attribution statement noted in ‘River Basin LIDAR - Belfast City- Note.pdf’, acknowledging Cyient Europe Ltd, must be included. A Digital Terrain Model (DTM) is a digital file consisting of a grid of regularly spaced points of known height which, when used with other digital data such as maps or orthophotographs, can provide a 3D image of the land surface. This data is provided in tiles of 1km x 1km containing elevations in a 0.5m x 0.5m grid. Tiles are grouped into four quadrant groups and can be downloaded by area as shown on the index __‘LiDAR_Extents_Grid_Index Map.pdf’__. Data was acquired (surveyed) on 18th March 2006. This data is not a supported. Supporting documentation has been provided to assist / offer guidance on the data itself. __NOTE:__ Zip file sizes range between 293mb & 393mb.
