Dataset description

A no cold calling zone is a designated area where the resident community declare they no longer wish to accept traders calling at their home without an appointment. The zone is designated via the installation of signs at the entrance and exit to the zone. The zones are a group of dwellings often in a sheltered housing scheme. The data is recorded as a polygon, is valid for as long as the no cold calling zone exists (reviewed annually) and is unrestricted. The polygon is produced within the Norfolk Mapping Browser by JSL from postcode data supplied when the NCCZ is set up by the Trading Standards Officer. The data is made available on the web so that Traders or any other interested party can see the extent of No Cold Calling Zones
