Dataset description

This multiple tab spreadsheet dataset contains supporting information provided by the Country Agencies (Statutory Nature Conservation Bodies) or JNCC for the UK Offshore waters. This information was used in the creation of the UK Habitat and species Reports that summarise the conservation status of Habitats and species listed under the Habitats Directive. Every six years, all EU Member States are required (under Article 17 of the Directive) to report on the implementation of the EU Habitats Directive. The 3rd UK Habitats Directive Report was submitted to the European Commission in 2013. This info covers all UK habitats and species that were reported on (it does does not include data for Gibraltar) The spreadsheet contains information on the following (all on separate tabs): Habitat details Habitat details audit trail (aka supporting notes) Species details Species details audit trail (supporting notes) Pressures and threats for habitats and species Conservation measures Look up tables (gives an explanation of the codes used in the spreadsheet) Details for habitats and species are presented on separate tabs because the column headings are different. In several columns 1 indicates yes and 0 indicates no. The spreadsheet contains a range of parameters for each habitat and species as described in the UK Approach Document. http://jncc.defra.gov.uk/pdf/A17_2013_UKApproach.pdf
