Dataset description

This mapping of the main sublittoral stands in the Plogoff sector is the synthesis of the Ifremer study published in paper form in 1987. For this study, underwater photographs associated with dive samples were used to characterise and quantify the main biosedimentary components. These field surveys were carried out between June 1979 and June 1980. Nine biosedimentary sets were distinguished. This map was digitised in 2010 as part of the SINP Mer (Systeme d’Information sur la Nature et les Paysages, the Sea Component), with the support of REBENT (Search for the monitoring of marine benthic flora and fauna).
